THE MAGGIE SUNSET INVESTIGATION
This site exists to document an unresolved series of homicides and disappearances spanning more than three decades.
In 2008, three men traveled from Bentonville, Arkansas for what was supposed to be a bachelor party. One was found brutally murdered inside a rural gas station. Another was found days later in the woods. The third was never found.
At the center of the case is a woman who identified herself as Maggie Sunset.
According to police records, Maggie Sunset was arrested for prostitution in the late 1980s. The mugshot from that arrest appears to match a woman captured on video more than twenty years later - unchanged. I have yet to get my hands on that video to confirm this but I getting close.
Officially, the case went cold.
Unofficially, it never sat right with the people closest to it.
I am an independent documentary filmmaker. I began looking into this case while researching another unsolved homicide — the murder of my brother — which occurred years later under circumstances that felt disturbingly familiar.
What started as coincidence has become something I can’t ignore.
This site is not an accusation.
It is not a conclusion.
It is an attempt to organize what exists, identify what’s missing, and invite outside perspectives where mine may be limited.
Over time, I will be posting:
Case timelines
Public records
Media footage
Interviews
Inconsistencies and unanswered questions
Everything here will be presented as accurately as possible based on available information.
If you have experience in:
Law enforcement
Forensics
Video or audio analysis
Missing persons research
Archival records
Or if you simply see something I don’t
I want to hear from you.
This investigation is ongoing.
