CASE FILE 002

Name Used: Maggie Sunset
Possible Real Name: Unknown
Earliest Record Located: Late 1980s (Benton County, Arkansas)

The name “Maggie Sunset” first appears in connection with the events of June 14, 2008.

According to recovered video footage recorded by the victims earlier that evening, the men had arranged to meet a woman using that name through an online classified advertisement. The meeting location was set for the gas station where the first homicide later occurred.

In the footage, a blonde woman approaches the van and identifies herself as Maggie.

The exchange appears casual. There are no visible threats. No signs of conflict.

At first glance, nothing about the interaction appears unusual.

What made the encounter significant only became clear after investigators began reviewing the footage more closely.

THE MUGSHOT

While attempting to identify the woman in the video, detectives searched regional arrest records connected to prostitution-related offenses from the 1980s and early 1990s.

One record stood out.

A woman listed under the name Maggie Sunset had been arrested for prostitution just outside Bentonville, Arkansas approximately twenty years earlier.

The mugshot associated with that arrest bears a striking resemblance to the woman seen in the 2008 footage.

Not similar.

Nearly identical.

Investigators reportedly compared the images side-by-side and concluded that the facial structure, hairline, and distinguishing features matched with unusual precision.

The problem was obvious.

If the arrest record was accurate, the woman in the mugshot would have been in her mid-60s by 2008.

The woman captured on the camera appears to be in her early 30s.

No additional records connected to the name Maggie Sunset appear in state databases after the late 1980s.

The woman from the arrest record was reported missing not long after.

She was never located.

KNOWN HISTORY

Very little confirmed information exists about Maggie Sunset prior to her disappearance in the 1980s.

Records suggest:

• She had no listed next of kin
No permanent address was attached to the arrest report
• Bail for the prostitution charge was posted by a local man identified as Colt Richardson

After that incident, the name disappears from official records entirely.

No death certificate.

No employment records.

No confirmed sightings.

The identity of the woman seen in the June 14, 2008 footage remains unresolved.
