CASE FILE 001: THE NIGHT OF JUNE 14, 2008
Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
Status: Unresolved
Primary Victim: Toby Anderson (27)
Associated Missing Persons: Noah Sullivan (27), Connor Hayes (26)
On the night of June 14, 2008, three men left Bentonville, Arkansas in a rented white cargo van. According to friends and family, the trip was intended as a bachelor party for Noah Sullivan, who was scheduled to be married one week later.
The group consisted of:
Toby Anderson, the best man
Noah Sullivan, the groom-to-be
Connor Hayes, a close friend
They were last seen together shortly after sunset.
At approximately 10:00 PM, the van arrived at a rural gas station just outside city limits. Security footage confirms the vehicle pulling into the lot. What happens next is where the official record begins to fracture.
THE GAS STATION
Inside the gas station, employees later reported hearing a disturbance. When police arrived, they discovered Toby Anderson’s body inside one of the aisles.
The scene was described by investigators as “unlike anything previously encountered.”
Publicly released details were limited, but internal reports note:
Extensive blunt force trauma
Severe abdominal and spinal injuries
Lacerations inconsistent with a firearm
No clear cause of death despite multiple fatal injuries
A shotgun was recovered behind the counter. No shell casings were found. No gunshot residue was detected on the station manager, who was briefly detained and later released without charges.
Four hours of security footage from inside the station were missing.
No explanation has ever been provided for the missing tape.
THE VAN
The white cargo van left the gas station sometime after the incident. It was reported stolen by the rental company later that night.
Two days later, the van was discovered overturned in a wooded area approximately 50 miles away.
Investigators noted:
Heavy blood spatter inside the vehicle
Torn seating and broken glass
No visible tire tracks leading to the location
No signs of collision with surrounding trees
Roughly 50 yards from the van, Connor Hayes’ body was found. Cause of death mirrored injuries sustained by Toby Anderson.
Noah Sullivan was not found.
He has never been located.
INCONSISTENCIES
Several details from that night remain unexplained:
Security footage shows the van entering the gas station lot, but does not clearly show a third party present — despite later video evidence suggesting otherwise.
The level of physical trauma sustained by both victims could not be attributed to known weapons or tools recovered at either scene.
The van’s placement defied conventional explanations involving speed, force, or terrain.
No credible suspects were ever identified.
No confirmed sightings of Noah Sullivan have been reported since that night.
The case was eventually classified as inactive.
INITIAL QUESTIONS
What caused the missing security footage?
How did the van arrive at its final location without leaving tracks?
Why do injuries across multiple victims appear consistent yet unexplainable?
Why was Noah Sullivan never found?
And most troubling: who — or what — was present that night that does not appear in the official record?
These questions form the foundation of this investigation.
Further case files will focus on individual subjects, recovered media, and historical records that may help contextualize what happened on June 14, 2008.
